Period Like Cramps, Stomach Pain And Nausea. Negative Pregnancy Test. Why Was I Spotting?

Hi I have been having mild period cramplike pains and a burning sensation in my right ovary since the 22nd april. My period was due on the 26th april but all i saw was some spotting when in the bathroom on the 22nd and thats all. I have taken three pregnancy tests but all were negative. I am also suffering from pain in the stomach area and nausea.

Dear dcornish, welcome to healthcare magic.
If the pregnancy tests you had were home urine tests, please have a blood test to confirm.
If the test is negative, you may take any form of NSAID ( non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs ), to relief the cramps you describe, then you may wait for the next period and if it is scarce as this one you should have some investigations done ( cycle day 2: FSH, LH, TSH, prolactin )
If the test is positive you should start Folic acid supplement and visit your doctor to document pregnancy by ultrasound.
Metoclopramide will be usefull for the nausea and pain in the stomach area.
