Penis Swollen After Taking Sulfamethoxazole For Blood In Urine, Changed To Cephalexin, Foreskin Peeling Off Now. What To Do ?
Hi I had blood in my urine several times on jun 12. I went to the emergency room and the doctor said it was urinary tract infection and gave me Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim for it. I took one table and 5 hours later my penis foreskin was swelled and red. I went back to the emergency room and the doctor changed the antibiotic to Cephalexin say I might be allergic to Sulfa s. My penis is not swelled as much but now my foreskin and head is very read and the skin is peeling off and have some sores. It is very painful. I am diabetic, taking metformin. I also had past episodes of Herpes Siplex. I tried to book an appointment with an urologist, but the closest date is July 8th. What should i do? Is this very serious. I have been 3 times to the emergency room and they told me to take the pills and go home
