Painful Spots On Ribs And Cervical Lymphnodes, Lymphadenitis, Granulomatous. Any Suggestion?

Hello,I am female 56 yrs..Treated symptomatic ally for EN syndrome in 1998.ESR46 Mantouxx test 20mm Tuberculine test (blood culture ) negative..in 2004 FNAC done for cervical lymph node..no epitheliod cell clusters,multinucleate giant cells atypical or malignant cells detected..HBsAg positive for long time..first detected in a routine blood test in 1980...was positive in 2004....now tested negative2013.now had swelling and pain in ankle soft painful spots on ribs and cervical lymphnodes.. Ankle pain and swelling gone after anti inflammatory meds.FNAC lymphnodes..Granulomatous lymphadenitis ..ESR 86 Mantouxx test 27 mm after 72 hrs.no fever,weight loss,etc.. Advice please..

Hi,
thanks for writing in.
From the symptoms which you have described there is a high likelihood of polyarteritis nodosa which is afall out of Hep B infection leading to multisystem involvement. I would suggest that you consult a rheumatologist and get yourself investigated as the condition can hit the kidney at a latter date.
