Painful Sores On Labia. Taken Valtrex. Painful Urination. Herpes?

In February I got very ill. At first I thought it was a UTI and it hurt so badly when I pee. A few days on I decided to check with a mirror what was going on down there and I saw little sores that were very painful over my labia, about 3 or 4 of them. By now I could barely even walk, it was soooo painful. I went to the ER and a doctor had a very quick look and said that it was herpes, gave me valtrex and sent me on my way. I recovered about 2.5 weeks later. About 1 month after that I had another similar episode, only this time it was not soo bad that I couldnt walk, but it hurt soo much to pee and I had the sores.
Now, the problem is, I have only ever been with one guy- the same guy I am with right now. He gets tested quite often, and he got tested when we first became an item, and tested again in the middle of our relationship after finding out that his ex had cheated on him...he is completely clean. Other than that, have only ever kissed guys and stuff.
I am aware that herpes symptoms occur within 2 weeks of infection but this wouldnt even be possible since my bf is clean. However, I am also aware that in some rare cases one can have herpes and remain without symptoms for years and therefore have no idea.....Im 19 now, but, I was molested as a kid (last time was at around age 10).

One, is it possible for me to have contracted herpes from being molested, but I remained without symptoms all of these years? Two, is it possible that this is not herpes but another condition, perhaps one that has similar symptoms. I had had the painful sores again since- four weeks ago I had them, and now I have them again...they seem to be coming every 4-5 weeks or so. Ive heard that one can ulcerate from yeast infections at times too, is this possible? Ive yet to get an actual test for herpes yet- I have an appointment for one in 4 days.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

In your case it could be a recurrent Herpetic outbreaks. as virus remains dormant in dorsal root ganglion of lumbosacral region.
Usually symptoms will appear with in a week of getting infection.
Reactivation of herpes common in reduced immunity or in fever due to other reasons.
Antiviral treatment needs to be taken during reactivation of virus.
Better to abstain from intercourse from time of experiencing symptoms until total re- epithelialization of lesions takes place.
Treatment of both partners is necessary.
Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take
care.
