Painful Knot Above C-section Scar. Told Have Ovarian Cyst. Is The Diagnosis Correct? Treatment?

I am a 45 year old woman, 3 kids, all C-sections...I was told I have some ovarian cysts after my last child 17 years ago and told again about 3 years ago at the ER because of the pain I was having, It was so bad I thought I had a hernia. There is a "knot" above my pelvic and scar from the C-sections. It hurts. especially when I cough, it even hurts my hip bones. What is going on?

Hi,
The pain caused by a hernia and an ovarian cyst are usually different in nature. An ovarian cyst will not cause a knot near the C-section scar as the cyst is deep in the pelvis. If you have pain near the scar when you cough, this could indicate a hernia. You may be able to feel a lump in the area.
I suggest you need to see your doctor who will be able to examine you to clarify your symptoms.
