Pain In Shoulder. Did I Tear My Rotator Cuff When Sleeping?

I woke up one morning with my left shoulder in pain. I thought I slept on it wrong, but months later it still is slightly painful to move. I have tried light yoga moves to loosen it up and some days are better then others. I just turned 47. Could it be that I tore my rotator cuff when I was SLEEPING? I would have thought it would be better by now.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

It might be periarthritis shoulder(Frozen shoulder).

I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray/MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.

Regards.
