Pain In Lower Abdomen, Frequent Urination. Undergone Surgery To Remove Cyst. Any Ideas?

I have been having pain in my right lower abdomin and have already had a cyst removed from my Fallopian tube. At the time I also had a cyst on my ovary. The surgeon chose to leave the ovary because she believed that the pain was from the cyst on the Fallopian tube. It is almost a year later and now I have the pain accompanied by frequent urination and the feeling that I can't empty my bladder all the way. I have been tested twice for a urinary infection an told that there is none. What is going on?

Hi and thanks for using this forum for your health worries.
i a so sorry to hear about what you are experiencing.

Pain in the lower abdomen and frequent urination should raise the question of a possible urinary tract infection.

Frequent urination, especially in small quantities means the bladder gets filled up quickly triggering the micturition reflex. This is commonly caused by a reduction of the size of the bladder from infections. other causes include compression resulting from an abdominal mass like fibroids, cysts, pregnancy etc. The fact that you also have the feeling of not been able to empty the bladder easily makes the suspicion of a mass more likely.

I think you will need more testing. Meet with you OBGYN and get an abdominal ultrasound to look at the various structures. This will most likely reveal the cause. Please, don't stop at UTI because though the most common cause of these symptoms, there are many other possible causes like i just cited above.

Hope you find this helpful and it at least helps and guides you to continue looking for a permanent diagnosis and cure to this.
Wish you a good health.
