Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

If the xrays are normal and you still have pain in the knee, it is mandatory that you undergo MRI scan of the knee joint to know the status of soft tissues inside the knee joint like meniscal cartilages or the cruciate / collateral ligaments. I suspect that one of the above mentioned structures might be injured causing you the symptoms.

The definitive management depends on the condition diagnosed.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
