Pain During Intercourse, Discovered Hard Lumps In Vagina On Fingering. Treatment Options?
My wife is 41 yrs old and for the last couple of years intercourse has been increasing painful for her, Last night was the first time in several months she has allowed me to try finger insertion and when i did i noticed a very hard area at the top just inside her vagina and a smaller hard lump about one inch up on back side of vagina
Painful intercourse along with the presence of lumps within the vagina is indeed a presentation that can raise concern.
I cannot comment on the possible causes without proper investigation which includes a physical examination along with the use of a speculum, a transvaginal ultrasound probably used in association with a biopsy of the lumps as well.
We can only comment on treatment once the test reports return. So schedule an appointment with your wife's doctor at the earliest. Do not delay this any further.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
