Hello sir.

Painful intercourse along with the presence of lumps within the vagina is indeed a presentation that can raise concern.

I cannot comment on the possible causes without proper investigation which includes a physical examination along with the use of a speculum, a transvaginal ultrasound probably used in association with a biopsy of the lumps as well.

We can only comment on treatment once the test reports return. So schedule an appointment with your wife's doctor at the earliest. Do not delay this any further.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
