Pain And Swelling In The Lower Abdomen After Lifting Heavy Things. History Of Ovary And Uterus Removal. Reason?
I Rani age 40 yrs have pain in lower left abdomen after abortion in 2003. In all these years ovaries and Uterus all have removed. Still pain and swelling not gone pain get less after taking rest but pain and swelling come back if i sit for 20 to 30 mins or lift some heavy things. I have consult many doctors and not get any benifit. please tell me what to do?
Hi, As your uterus and ovaries have been removed, the pain is not likely to be related to the abortion in 2003. The relationship with sitting and lifting would suggest it may be a hernia in the groin area on the left side.It may be an inguinal or femoral hernia. This is not a serious condition. It is caused by a weakness in the muscles and tissues of the groin area. Your doctor may be able to demonstrate this by examining your groin area. These hernias are often treated by an operation which is sometimes done as a day case procedure.
