Hi,
As your uterus and ovaries have been removed, the pain is not likely to be related to the abortion in 2003. The relationship with sitting and lifting would suggest it may be a hernia in the groin area on the left side.It may be an inguinal or femoral hernia. This is not a serious condition. It is caused by a weakness in the muscles and tissues of the groin area. Your doctor may be able to demonstrate this by examining your groin area. These hernias are often treated by an operation which is sometimes done as a day case procedure.
