Orangish Discharge After Taking Monostat For Yeast Infection, Also Had Double Dose Of Contraceptive. Is This Normal?

I had mild itching and pasty (but small amounts) of discharge... no awful smell... was told to try monostat as it was most likely a yeast infection...as I was taking a prescribed antifungal (for yeast infections) in order to get rid of a toe nail fungus.I had this itching for a while and thought I was allergic to something because it was so mild...like a good 2 months. I completed the 3 day pessery and at the end felt not mild itch. discharge consistency was normal but the color was kind of orange. Is this normal to have discharge that is slightly orange? I take an oral contraceptive and missed a couple pills so had to double up for a day... so I m just not sure..

Hello ma'am and welcome.

An oranve discharge is the sign of the presence of blood in the discharge, which I would say is normal in your case; due to either the infection or the double dose of contraceptives which could have resulted in a hormonal imbalance.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
