Oily Skin On Face, Enlarged Pores, Terrible Comedones, Under Stress. Cure For Symptoms?

Hi I have extremely oily skin on my face.. I don't have spots here but my pores are very enlarged and have terrible comedones all over which I can't get rid of and they are starting to scar my skin.. However my back, shoulders and arms are now covered with pustules and comedones also and only seems to be getting worse.. I'm 24 and have never had this problem.. I have a good diet of plenty.. I'm just wondering why this may be and how do I solve it? I have been under a lot of stress with the last couple of years, could this be triggering it and are there any veg that can make it worse.. I eat loads of peppers, garlic, onion and tomatoes most days so in wondering could any of these be a problem? Hope to hear from you soon.. Kind regards Sharon

Hi Sharon,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
It appears that you are suffering from moderate to severe grade of acne. This is common youth related problem and can be manifested any time before 25 years. The oil glands get enlarged and infected and so also the pores and leads to scarring.
There are various kinds of treatments you can take with consultation of a dermatologist. You would be needing oral and topical treatments in form of antibiotics and tretinoin, azealic acid and glycoloic acid. Other than that procedures such as chemical peelings, microderma-abrasion, dermarollers, and lastly lasers can also be used.
Though the correlation of food with acne is less supported but you should stop too much of spicy food and shift to simple diet. Stop oil application or any creams on face and scalp.
With the proper and long term treatment you will regain your confidence and beauty again.
Hope this information will help you.
All the best.
