Noticed Blurred Vision, Red And Burning Eyes After Taking Vesicare. What Should I Do?

Hi, I am a 77 YOM. I was given Vesicare to try by a urologist here for overactive bladder and sometimes uncontrolledl urination. It has seemed to help with that problem, but since starting it 10 days ago, I have developed problems with my eyes. The right is very red and burns alongwith some blurred vision. I do not know if the vesicare may have caused this, as eye problems are making the rounds here, my relatives tell me. What do you think?

Hello,
Vesicare is used to treat urinary symptoms like frequency of urination. It is not associated with any side effects affecting the eye.
The symptoms you have like blurred vision, redness and burning of eyes indicate infection/ inflammation of the eyes like acute conjunctivitis.
The treatment is by using antibiotic eye drops. Since you are also having blurred vision, corneal seems to be involved. Hence this requires examination by a eye doctor for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
