Hi Amit,

Let me make things clear for you. Nasal congestion in pregnancy is a normal phenomenon because of the increase in the hormones. It will reduce once she delivers the child. Till then she can use saline nasal drops, take steam inhalation, drink plenty of warm water. As most of the drugs are contraindicated in pregnancy, the above medicines can be used safely. Even the best of the ENT specialist will recommend the same for her.

You can contact Dr. Sanjay Dutt or Dr. Shankar Madikeri from Sagar Apollo Hospital, Tilaknagar, Bangalore.

Any more doubts you are welcome.

Regards
Dr. Naveen Kumar
