Normal To Have Leg Pain, Deep Ache Before Period? Legs Feel Swollen, Worst During Anxiety

I have pain in my legs, a deep ache, midcycle and a few days before my period. Is this normal? It also seems worse when my anxiety is high. Stretching doesn t seem to help. My legs feel like they are swollen but they aren t. They also bother me more when I bend them. I am 42, of normal weight with no varicose veins but I do sit with legs crossed all the time...I also recently lost my orthotics , so I think that s contributing to the ache...

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on health care magic.
These symptoms are quite normal just before periods.
If the symptoms are not controllable, you need to consult your Gynecologist for treatment.
Excess progesterone levels in second half of the cycle causes these symptoms.
OC pills for 3 cycles is usually given.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Dr Nilofer
