Need Information About L A V H

I would like to know why none of the information I was given about L A V H told me that I would be inflated like a balloon to it s largest and that my stomach would fall out in front of me when I bent over. That the older you are the less likely it is that your skin will go back to the size it was before your surgery and if it reduces in size that it can take over a year. I would have rather been in pain for 6 weeks and have a scare.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Most of the side effects other than the skin changes are all due to the hysterectomy itself, and you would experience them no matter what the approach.

As for the issue about why no one informed you about the same, it is a shame and you should take it up with your doctor. But I always ask my patients to do as much research on the condition they have or the surgery they are undergoing before they decide to go ahead with it.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
