Nauseous, Chills. Ate Sushi. Could It Be The Reaction Or Some Food Poisoning?

Hi, I've just woken up around 3:30am with this sudden burst of adrenaline. I'm also feeling a little nauseous, and I think I have chills. I'm afraid it's the sushi I ate around 8 hours ago. Does food poisoning come on so late after consumption? I haven't puked yet, but I'm still really high energy with all the same symptoms and it's around 4am.

hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic, the answer to your question is yes if the sushi that you ate was contaminated with some organisms or unfit to have, then food poisoning as you explain can very correctly be the cause of your nausea and chills, which preceeds fever.I hope there is no over eating done by you, because even that can lead to such symptoms. There are many other causes of nausea with chills but your history does not reveal anything else.So dont worry and be healthy.thanks.
