Miscarriage, Cooper Coil Fitted. Normal Periods Once Lately Noticing Thick And Dark Blood With Clots. Worried

Hi, I had a miscarriage in January and since have had the cooper coil fitted. I've had one normal period since, however I for the last 3 weeks I've been on my second period and the blood is thick and dark in colour also some small clots passing daily. I get slight period pains but nothing bad. I'm getting a little worried as this is not normal for myself. Can you help?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The thick and dark blood with clots could be due to the copper coil that has been fitted or due to an incomplete abortion. Do get an ultrasound scan done to confirm.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
