Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your case, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.
Dear Alisha, smoking will not kill your your baby but can have more serious effects on various organs of baby while keeping it alive. It will be more dangerous than baby death, as baby will have to suffer from problems throughout it's life. So it is advisable to quit smoking totally.I will suggest you to take help of counsellor to handle your stressful condition. Since this being your second time , if you notice pain, pressure or stretch like feeling on lower abdomen , please take rest and see if it stops. Sometimes it is due to pressure on cervix- mouth of the womb- that causes these problems. Internal examination by gynaecologist or measuring cervix length on USG will help identify this problem. You can take rest in head low position, Avoid forward bending, lifting heavy objects. Cap. SUSTEN 200 twice a day for 10 days can be taken as support.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
