Lump Under C Section Scar, Pressure At That Area. Doctor Said This As Scar Tissue. Is This Due To C Sections?
Hello, i noticed grap sized lump about 1/2 inch under csection scar. Ive had 2to c's last one 44for years ago. My ob/gyn felt it n said it was probably scar tissue. Put shot of something in it n it stopped hurting for a bit. Doesnt always hurt, more pressure. Could this just b adhesions and scarring due to both csections?
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
This could be related to scarring, that is correct. It is also possible, though unlikely, that it relates to a hernia. One way to sort this out is to talk with your doctor about a CT scan.
I hope that this helps and good luck!

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Small sized tissue could be a hypertrophic scar tissue, need not have to worry for that. You can get USG abdomen and pelvic region done. If there is any weakness in scar tissue, chances of hernia is possible. Scar 44 years old less likely to cause problems now. Do regular exercise for abdominal muscle strengthening.
Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further examination and management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards Dr. Vidya
