Lower Abdomen Pain, Increases When Pressure Exerted. Advise?

I have been experiencing pain in my lower left abdomen slightly below my belly button. It is a constant dull pain that is tender to touch and increases in intensity when I exert any activity using abdominal muscles including sneezing, coughing, laughing, or exercising. At first, I thought I had simply pulled a muscle but it has been several weeks with no sign of change. Can you please advise?
