Hi on my tonsil I have a large flap that I have just noticed, I thought something was stuck in my throat so I tryed to clear it and it started 2 bleed n something come out that looked light a little ball n was really smelly, but now I hav noticed the flap of skin on my tonsils n every time I swollen it feels like it getting stuck on my throat/ tongue n makes me gag? Kind regards
Dear Friend,
You had Septic Sore Throat and developed a Tonsilar abscess. Because you had good body resistance, the pus in the tonsillar abscess got Desiccated/Dehydrated and formed a harmless ball of dry pus. It is a welcome that ball went out. The bleeding usually stops in no time, The flap will also heal-up. It is advised that you have a course of Antibiotics and get the Tonsils Out, to prevent Relapses. All the best..............Dr. Somanath Krishnan
