Knee Pain, Hurts When Sitting For Long. What Is Wrong?

There is a constant throbbing pain in my knee . It only really starts hurting when seaming or sitting for Lon periods of time. Bending it causes pain but not shooting pain like I experience while dancing or right now while I m just laying down. I ve have knee problems for a while now, some I shouldn t have to experience until well over 40. (I m 17, female) what exactly is wrong with me?

Hi there ~

The most common cause for knee pain during young age is not degenerative disease but a torn ligament or a meniscus which can be easily fixed. You need to visit with an orthopedician who specializes in knee surgery. Arthroscopy to rule out any condition that would make this diagnosis and hopefully help fix it would be useful. I hope this helps and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Take care and have a lovely day !
