Can Cap Gemcal DS Cause Loss Of Appetite And Sleepiness?

My wife 67 years suffering Left CA breast operated,Acute or Cronic Renal failure,Hypercalcaemia,Type IIDM,HT,CLD,Hypothyoldism. Recently Left knee surgery done under SA,tourniquet by midline incision(zimmer) on 06/08/2011 Now she is loosing apetite, and felling sleepy Present medicine Cap Gemcal DS 1 capsule once after meal + 3 months

Hi,

Gemcal is not associated with loss appetite and sleepiness. Hypothyroidism may be the cause. TSH, T3, T4 levels are to be repeated and may need dose modifications of Throxine. I assumed she is already on medicines of conditions you mentioned. Additionally, I will suggest simple things:
* No caffeine or go near pollution or smoking area
* Take fruits vegetables, salads in diet
* Do some sitting sukshm yoga. Join her art of living sahaj smadhi workshop online now a days. These will help in fastened recovering of iidm, crf, hypothyroidism, pain and psychological upset. They will definitely go away, make sure she join[have seen similar history patient got benefited in past.
* Continue all other medications she is on
