Knee Injury Due To Fall. Painful To Stand Straight, Hip Weakness. How Can It Heal?

I stepped of a curb wrong and fell hitting the left side of my body against a car and then landing my full weight on my left knee . As a result, I believe I have hyper extended my iliofemoral ligament too far and know walking while standing up straight is no only painful, but my hip joint seems to give out . I don t think I have actually torn the ligament, so what can I do to help it heal?

Hi
Thanks for the query

It seems the fall have resulted in damage of the tendon or ligament most probably tear of one of it. The better option is to consult orthopedic surgeon and have any x-ray of the traumatic areas for better assessment. meanwhile evoid exertion.

Thanks
