Hello,
If your fell on your knee on two occasions years ago and not having severe movement restrictions then its not a serious problem I guess.
Your age and any X ray findings of your knee would throw more light on the condition and if any degenerative changes have occurred. Sometimes, even X ray can be normal and still if you are having difficulty in doing daily activities, a MRI scan can show any knee ligament or meniscal injury.
Please discuss this with your othopedic surgeon and get a clinical examination done.

Hope this helps.
