Hello and welcome to HCM,
The pain and burning sensation in the knee can be due to meniscal tear.
Meniscus is an avascular structure.
Once torn, it is difficult to repair it as it does not have any blood supply.
However, surgical procedure can be attempted for some improvement.
You need to consult your orthopedician for clinical examination, investigation and management.
Arthroscopy may be required to view the status of meniscal cartilage.
If surgical procedure is not indicated, you physiotherapy may be helpful.

thanks and take care

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Moustafa Saeed's  Response
Hi, thank you for your question.

I will recommend to try anti inflammatory gel applied to the knee twice a day for 5 days to see if it helps.

the meniscus tear usually give you pain on walking or may cause the knee to lock but not constant burning sensation.

MRI scan of lumbar spine may show trapping of the nerve supplying your knee.

if you believe my answer was helpful please leave feedback to me.

hope you get better soon
