Knee, Calf And Hamstring Pain, Pressure And Bending Adds To Pain. Is The Pain From Hard Tendon?

Good evening,
I have been having trouble for the past 2 weeks with my right knee.
If I am walking for an short period of time, bending it, calf touching hamstring, hurts afterward. If I am sitting for a short time and I stand, straightening it hurts. I have been working out at the gym for years and recently I did a squat going past the 90 degree bend. I also have started a new job as a housekeeping supervisor. This position has me on my feet marching everywhere for upwards of 12 - 13 hours a day.
It does not hurt...
-sitting on my butt, straight leg flexing foot left and right, up and down.
-pressure on any area of my knee or leg, front or back, leg straight or bent
-putting pressure on my calf and pushing left as I push right on my thigh and visa versa.

It hurts....

-sitting, 90 degree angle bend at the knee, leg hanging off edge of seat, wagging leg to the right (does not hurt wagging it to the left)

To be even more specific, the pain seems to be coming from the hard tendon on the right side behind the knee and the soft center between the 2 hard tendons. There is no swelling that I can see.

What do you suggest I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The knee and calf pain could be related to a degenerative changes in the tendon or a mild ligament tear. It is best to get an MRI scan of your knee done for proper diagnosis. You can use a knee brace for relief till then.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
