Hi, I am undergoing lymph node TB treatment(ATT). Currently it's my first month. I want to understand the side effects of the drugs- rifampicin, ethambutol, pyzina, solonex. I have developed joint pain in legs & waist recently. Is it normal? Also what precautions and eating habits, lifestyle changes I can follow to help recover from this faster. Also, how does it impact my reproductive health as I am yet to have kids. I have just turned 33. Thanks a lot in advance.

There are numerous side effects that occur due to ATT. But the intensity of the side effects differ from person to person.

Common side effects encountered with solonex and rifampicin are

*Clumsiness or unsteadiness
*Dark urine
*Loss of appetite
*Nausea and vomiting
*Numbness, tingling, burning, or pain in hands and feet
*Unusual tiredness or weakness
*Yellow eyes or skin

Common side effects of Ethambutol include

*Chills
*pain and swelling of joints, especially big toe, ankle, or knee
*tense, hot skin over affected joints

Common side effects of Pyzina are

*Pain in large and small joints
*unusual tiredness or weakness
*Loss of appetite
