Is There Anything To Worry From The Color Doppler Ultrasound Result?

My wife recently had a Color Doppler Ultrasound. Results: Left Atrial Enlargement, Left Ventricle Hypertrophy, Aortic Valve Insufficiency, Mitral Valve Insufficiency, and Lower Left Ventricular Compliance. She is 50 and to me, this sounds very serious...?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your wife has multivalvular disease. Due to this left atrial is enlarged in size.
There is insufficiency in aortic and mitral valves.
There is also left ventricle enlargement which is due to overload.
You didn't mentioned about ejection fraction which is very important.
IF ejection fraction is not satisfactory then she may need drugs for augmentation of contractility of heart.
Valve replacement depends upon symptoms and severity.
You should consult cardiologist.

Take Care
