Is There Any Side Effects For Tryptomer?

I am suffering from insomnia, doctor suggested me to take tryptomer 10mg, every two months I went for review. I had taken this tablet for 6 months, last week I went for review but I could not meet him and now I stoped taking the tablet. Is there any side effects, what is the tamper tablet to tryptomer.

Long term usage of amitryptaline (tryptomer) could cause hepatitis, seizures, and Heart ECG abnormalities. I suggest you get a Liver Function Panel, just to make sure the liver enzymes are not much deranged. The thing is, all these abnormalities will resolve once you stop the medication. No, there is no side effect during stopping of the drug. It does not cause withdrawal usually. Hope this clears your doubt. If you are having trouble sleeping, I recommend you meet your doctor and get a renewal after getting the liver function tests done. Wishing you well.
