Is There Any Problem If A Child Sleep All Day And Be Awake At Night ?

12 month old's mom keeps her awake at night so she'll sleep all day My daughter-in-law has purposely got her 12 month old s days & nights mixed up so that she herself can stay up all night playing on the computer, & then sleep all day. Are there risks & dangers associated with this? Please help... I m very concerned about my granddaughter s health & well being!

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.
As long as the child gets 8 to 10 hours sleep in 24 hours, there is no health problem.
Later on when the child has to attend school, this habit may create problem, the child being unable to concentrate in the class.
It is advisable that the kids are put to sleep early and taught to rise early in the morning.
Wishing your grand daughter all the best.
