Is There Any Need Of Treatment?

Hi Doc

Could you please guide me on this.
My Father is 60 yrs , Non diabetic, hypertensive . He has been on Repace H since 2006. Recently during a routine check, his creatinine levels were 1.3 . The tests were done randomly and not on any physician's advise. Does he need treatment for these levels?

Hello, serum creatinine of 1.3 is just above the normal range of creatinine. In few people baseline creatinine can be just above the normal range. So there is nothing to worry about the creat levels if there are no other symptoms associated with it. I would suggest you to do routine creatinine levels aftr 3 -4 weeks. If there is rise of creatinine at that time kindly refer to a nephrologist then. Otherwise it could be his base line creatinine which is nothing to be worried about. I hope i have helped your query. Thank you
