Is There Any Alternative To Norethisterone While On Hormone Replacement Therapy?

I am on hormone replacement therapy with 4 squirts of oestrogel daily and 1/4 sachet of testosterone, I am supposed to take 1/2 norethisterone tabled from days 1-7 of month and then menstruate on around day 10 - is it necessary to take the noresthisterone - are there any alternatives - it makes me extremely irrational and paranoid?

Hello,

Further queries are:
• Why are you on hormonal replacement?
• How old are you?

This is how we give hormonal replacement in the department of endocrinology. Tab Ethinyl Estradiol 0.02 mg from 1 to 21 days of menstrual cycle and tab Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg once daily from 12 to 21 days of menstrual cycle. Although, I don't know why you are taking hormonal replacement but you need to take.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
