Is There Any Alternate Medicine For Phenazopyridine To Cure UTI?

hi, my name is adriana, i am Married, i live in iran but tourist in armenia, I was very sick with a urinary tract infection, I always used the pill for the treatment PHENAZOPYRIDINE , but i this pill is not available armenia,My symptoms: frequent urination. Severe dysuria.Kidney pain. Now i want now one internasional pill name that i can buy in armenia, that similar to phenazopridine....

Hi,
Phenazopyridine is only to alleviate your symptoms, but it will not cure your UTI. Empirical treatment for UTI in women usually involves taking a tablet of a combination of Sulphamethoxazole + Trimethoprim, available as Septran DS or Bactrim DS orldwideor (if you are not allergic to Sulphas) or Nitrofuranton 100mg twice a day for at least 3 days, and maybe a urinary alkalinizer like Citrosoda diluted with water to be taken thrice daily after meals. Both these drugs usually are effective and should be available at any good chemist even in Armenia, but the question is will it be given to you without a doctor's prescription.
