Is The Diagnosis Non Obstructive Apical Hypo Cardiomyopathy Or Hypertension Or Both?

i am male of 58 yrs old...ten years back during a casual check up i was clinically diagonised for " non obstructive apical hypo cardio myopathy" the doctor advised me that is there is no need of any medicine and prescribed ATEN 25 as a muscular relaxative, during these time my bp was 80/130, recently i had checked up the bp and found to be 90/156 and one of my relative doc told it is hypertension and needs medication and asked me to take once a day with BISOPROLOL 2.5mg...kindly advise me

hi,
First I think you should undergo repeat Echo to know the status of prior disease, has it increased or same.
For bp you can increase the dose of Aten to 50 mg if you are already on it, rather than taking nebivolol. If you have stopped Aten then you can take nebivolol probably a bit higher dose is needed in you up to 5 mg.
Also low salt diet and regular walking. also get lipid profile and sugars tested.
