Is Spotting With A Delayed Period A Sign Of Pregnancy?
Hello, I had consumed a unwanted 72 after having an unprotected sex. This was on 18th june early morning (4th day of my period) and i had consumed the pill on 19th june. I just consumed 1 pill. After 3days i got some brownish colour bleeding below. Now today its 14th july and im worried that i still havent got into my periods yet. Are there any chances of pregnancy. Can you please help me clear out my doubt. age: 24, ht:5ft, wt:50kgs

1. You had sex on day 4 of your period when no egg is present for fertilization. So for practical purpose you do not have possibility of pregnancy due to this sexual act.
2. Moreover, you have consumed I-pill within 24 hours. So you are protected against pregnancy due to this intercourse.
3. I-pills do cause some withdrawal bleeding few days after consumption; you had it. Not an issue of concern.
4. I-pill may delay following period by few days to a week. So do not be so impatient about your period.
5. It is just 14 July. You are yet to miss a period. Please wait for about a week or for the periods to start; you will get them.
If you are engaged in regular sexual relations, in order to avoid such stressful situations in future, you may please consider adopting a regular reliable contraceptive method like birth control pills, condom or intrauterine device.
