Is Sore Breast Normal After Placed Mirena ?

I have the mirena placed in in March of this year. My periods have been lighter. This month, I spotted only one day. For about 2 weeks now, my breasts and nipples have been extremely sore. They are not as sore today, but still a little. Is that normal?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, sometimes these are all the effects of Mirena. It will subside within few months. Consult your gynecologist once to make sure we are not missing anything else. For sore breast you can take some pain killers or cap. Primrose under prescription which will help you a lot.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
