Is Sinarest And Ventorlin Appropriate Medication For Fever Among Children?

Hello doctor,
My kid who is 7 yrs had mild fever 2 days back,fever occurs mostly after midnight,its around 99 degrees...went to my doctor, he gave ventorlin(coz he had cough n cold) and sinarest for 5 days.Next day,throughout he didn't develop any fever...but after midnight he got 99 temperature again.....I am really worried whats going on with my kid?Doctor said if the fever persists he will start antibiotic....is my kid fine or there is something to worry about?

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM.
Your child is suffering from URTI, I presume.
It may be viral or bacterial.
If viral usually subsides with symptomatic treatment and the fever is short.
If bacterial fever persists and it needs treatment with antibiotic.
It subsides with treatment within 5-7 days.
The drug of choice is Amoxycillin with clavulanate.
