Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
The condition your wife has is called antiphospholipid antibody syndrome or APLA.
This causes the blood to thicken and clog the vessels which provide blood to the growing fetus. As blood carries both food and oxygen to the growing baby and if less if blood reaches the baby during growth, it may due inutero.
Your wife needs special medication during pregnancy called LMW HEPARIN .
I have had a few patients with similar complaints and frequent fetal loss in whom I found good results with heparin.
Please write back if you have any queries to DR BHAGYASHREE.
Thanks
