Dear Nellie,

Fertomid is a medicine which contains Clomiphene citrate as an active ingredient.

This medicine has to be taken for 5 days and then it initiates the egg release. So this medicine is for inducing egg release (ovulation). It is advisable to monitor ovulation by ultrasonography or LH estimation kits. Intercourse or IUI should be planned on the day of ovulation.

This medicine should not be tried for more than 6 cycles. If within this period there is no success, some other medicines like hMG/hCG combination may be tried.

I hope this helps you.
