Is Polio Curable With Stiffer Hands And Eating Problems?

I knew one girl, and she had polio. She couldn t walk properly, her one leg was smaller. She is a girl with very high will power and determination. These days I came to knew that her hand fingers also getting stiffer, and she can t eat properly. I m so sad about her. Is it curable....

this is unlikely to be Polio. Polio is a sudden onset illness with maximum difficulty right at the time of attack which gradually wanes over a period of time. If there is fresh stiffening of fingers , we need to search for a proper diagnosis.
Best would be take to her to a pediatric neurologist for further evaluation.
