Is Penicillin Working If I Have Pain Around Anus And Discharge?
Hi there I have a very long query I notices a but of pain whilst peeing a few days ago an thort I had cut myself due to shaving which ive kept up with a lot lately. A few days later I noticed a white bump in the area I didnt really think anythibg of it untill I noticed more and more lookibg like white spots you get on your tonsils from tonsillitis! !! It started to get progressivly worse along with burning and soreness more so around my anus now along with constant disccharge. The pain is unbareable. I have tried baths which soothe it for a while and sudacrem plus ice packs I went to the doctor who prescribed me some penicillin for 7 days I also have a few red spots accuring on my nose. I dont know if the penicillin is working? Do u have any recommendations and to ease the pain or what thos could be,

Based on the type of infection suspected, a swab cukture should be performed and the most suitable medication found and prescribed.
If this has not been done and if penicillin foes not help you experience a response between 24-72 hours after initiation of the medication, then you may have to revisit your doctor for a change in prescription.
As for the pain, I understand how this can be frustrating, but this is only a symptom and will subside with the usage of an effective antibiotic.
