Is Pain Around Belly Button After Resection Of Endometriosis Due To Scar Tissue?

Hi. I had a laparoscopic resection of endometriosis, an appendicectomy and a presacral neurectomy 7 days ago. I have been having some pain around my belly button. When I put a finger in my belly button and press down a little, I can feel a lump. I was just wondering if this is something to be concerned about or if it is just normal scar tissue or something. Thank you for your time.

Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Pain near umbilical area after laparoscopy is due to one of the ports placed through it.
If the lump is small and don't hurt much and no fever you can take mild painkillers.
it will subside in a week or 2. If increased in size or fever then consult your doctor as it can be due to blood collection in the scar or infection
thanks.
Dr Bhagyashree.
