Is My 21 Month Old Suffering From Bronchitis?

My 21 month old has been suffering with a runny nose and allergy like symptoms for the past two weeks, as with most people in the Houston area the pollen is terrible right now. Yesterday morning she started with temperature off 100.2. I alternated Motrin and children s Tylenol through out the day into the evening. This morning she had fever again (100.1) again I have been alternating the Motrin and Tylenol. Since this morning she has begun coughing a seal like barking cough more prevalent when she is lying down than sitting up. I am thiking she may have a touch of bronchitis. What are your thoughts?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Yes, I am also thinking about acute allergic bronchitis.
Pollen is well known allergen and if this is more severe or not treated properly, can lead to allergic bronchitis.
Barking cough is supportive evidence for bronchitis.
So better to consult pediatrician and get done clinical examination first.
Your child may need antibiotic and inhaled bronchodilators.
So better to consult pediatrician and start appropriate treatment.
