My son(2 1/2 years) is suffering from frequent pinworm attacks. He has taken mebex suspension 4 months back. From yesterday onwards, he is crying a lot at night due to pinworms. How often can we give mebex suspension & in what intervel we should repeat ?

Hello and thank you for your question. Mebendazole (Mebex) is safe to use every month or two if needed. When you use it give one dose then another dose two weeks later for the best effect at getting rid of the worms. Other drugs that can be used are abendazole and pyrantyl pamoate. The effectiveness of all of them in getting rid of the worms reaches near 100% when two doses are given 2 weeks apart. Thanks for using HCM
