Is It Safe To Use Rantac 150 In 9th Month Pregnancy?

I am in my 8th month of pragnancy . I had acidity problems last month. When I went for check up,doctor gave me Rantac 150.I had two or three and got relief from gastric problems.So I stopped taking this tablet.This month also when I went for check up Doctor prescribed to take this medicine twice daily for next 1 month.I am confused now.I dont have gastric problems now.Do I need to take this medicine unnecessarily or is it have any other role in pregnancy?Please advice
