Is It Safe To Take Glycomet 500 In 29 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
My wife has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Doctor has been advised glycomet 500 mg BD. Her test result are as follows-:fasting sugar 98, after one hour 181 and after two hours 164. my concerns is that is it safe to take glycomet 500 in 29 weeks of pregnancy . Kindly advise

I really appreciate your concern this is the only condition in the pregnancy where giving medicine is not just allowed but important also, if your wife has been detected high blood glucose level, and confirm the diabetes (Gestational) then she has to take the hypoglycemic agent what ever the doctor suggest, taking the Glycomet is okay, take care and have a nice day.
