Is It Safe To Take Duphaston During Pregnant?

is it safe to take Duphaston if you are pregnant? my first menstration last june 18 , 2011 but now still my i dont have menstuation, my ob told me to have an ultra sound after two weeks, and prescribe to take duphaston and folic, I have my PT and the result was the second line is blurred what is this mean? thanks

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion blurred line in pregnancy test suggests it is weakly positive.Weak positive pregnancy test is seen in hormonal abnormalities likely progesterone insufficiency or wrong dates or if test is done early.So duphaston is a progesterone hormone.So it is prescribed in suspicion with progesterone insufficiency.Dont worry it doesn't cause any harm to pregnancy.It is usually continued upto 12 weeks.
