Is It Safe To Take Duphaston During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 27 years old, 4 9 in height, and 43 kl. I have an ulcer for the last three years and now as of April 2, I am 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant. My doctor do ultrasound and shhe found out that I have a subchorionic hemorrhage. So, she prescribe me to take duphaston 2 times a day. Is it safe to take for my stage of pregnancy? thank you.

Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

The medication you were prescribed is to help prevent miscarriage. It is not harmful to you or the baby but does not work in all cases.

Your ulcer is not related to why your doctor prescribed this medication. There are safe medications to take if your ulcer recurs during the pregnancy as well and if you have symptoms you should discuss this with your doctor.

I hope this information was helpful and that I adequately answered your question.

Best wishes for the rest of the pregnancy,

Dr. Brown
